CMC Indigenous Managing Director Michael O’Loughlin recently attended the GARMA festival in the Northern Territory.
The GARMA Festival is held annually and is a place where Indigenous and Non-Indigenous Australians gather to share knowledge and culture and develop economic opportunities for remote Indigenous Communities.
Michael said the main objective of the event was to educate Non- Indigenous and Indigenous Australians about culture and to connect mainstream Australia with the local community.
“It was a great few days meeting and networking with a host of people from the Corporate and Government sectors,” Michael said.
“It was also a great opportunity for us to showcase what we are doing with CMC Indigenous Services and our Pathways Program and creating opportunities for Indigenous Australians in business and in employment.”
