Rohan, with roots in South-West Sydney and Aboriginal ties to Yidinji Country and Wakka Wakka, Queensland, embarked on his career at 15 as an apprentice carpenter, progressing through roles as a Safety Officer, Foreman, and Union Official. His career advanced significantly when he became a Project Manager for the Redfern Waterloo Authority, driving the Koori Job Ready Program and Aboriginal Participation in Construction, laying the groundwork for APIC. Later, he contributed as the General Manager of Enterprises at the National Centre of Indigenous Excellence and as the National Commercial Business Development Manager at AES.
Recognised as one of Australia’s Top 11 Emerging Leaders in 2013 and a participant in the 2014 Next Gen Leaders Program with Crown College, Rohan’s achievements include being named a top Indigenous Executive by the Australian Financial Review in 2023.
Now serving as the General Manager of ARA Indigenous Services, he aims to foster Indigenous business growth through strategic investments, benefiting the team, community, and organisation.
